ACCOUNTING: (Updated 11/05): The National Society of Accountants is sponsoring a scholarship program for students enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year accounting program. You must have a 3.0 GPA or better and be a US or CANADIAN citizen. Awards range from $500 to $2000. Applications are due March 10, 2008. Applications may be picked up at the financial aid office. **There are a couple of other accounting scholarships on this application!

TRAPSHOOTING!?!:(Updated 10/30) The American Trapshooting Association is sponsoring $5000 scholarships to any High School Senior who is a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. Deadline is JULY 1, 2008. For more information, go to www.trapof.org/scholarship_program_2008.htm

JUNIORS AND SENIORS (Updated 10/2): The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity is sponsoring its essay contest for 2008. Full-time juniors and seniors at four-year colleges can compete for $10,000 in prizes and the opportunity to meet Elie Wiesel in NYC. FEMALES (juniors) (Updated 8/27): GLAMOUR's top 10 College Women competition is underway. The competition is designed to find the top 10 female leaders on college campuses across the country. HISPANIC STUDENTS: (Updated 1/14/2008): HSF (Hispanic Scholarship Fund) - Eligibility requirements included on their website. Qualified applicants my apply for scholarship money at www.hsf.net . The deadline for most of these scholarships is March 15, 2008.

APPALACHIAN STUDENTS: (Updated 8/27): The Ohio Appalachian Center for Higher Education is sponsoring scholarships for those students who reside in the Appalachian region of the country. The awards are up to $3000. Please contact Sherry at (740) 351-3491 for further details.

NURSING STUDENTS (Updated 8/27): The Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association is accepting applications now through January 11, 2008 for the 2008-2009 scholarship program. Please go to www.nsna.org and click on foundation/scholarships for more information.

Fifth Third Bank: (**Updated 5/6**) Fifth Third Bank will be awarding 12 scholarships (2 per month) through the end of the year, beginning in July. Each month a $500 and a $300 scholarship will be awarded! The scholarship contest runs from May 3 to December 3, 2007. visit www.53educationlending.com/53day for more information! This contest is in no way affiliated with educational loans. Students DO NOT need to have a loan with 5/3 Bank to apply for this scholarship.

PHARMACY: (*updated 4/5*): Rite Aid Pharmacy Scholars Program. For Pharmacy interns who work at Rite Aid drugstores. Must be in the 3rd or 4th professional year of Pharmacy School. Application is online at www.riteaid.com.

PHARMACY: (**updated** 4/5) Eckerd Scholastic Stars. This scholarship program is available only to Eckerd Associates. Applicant must be an associate, dependent or spouse. Be actively employed for a least a 12 month period on full-time basis. Applicants must re-apply each year. Note: Please contact recruiting department at 727-395-7654 for specific pharmacy scholarship information. 3.25 GP requirement.

PHARMACY: (**updated**4/5) ASHP Foundation Student Reseach Award. Applications: www.ashpfoundation.org. Additional award information is available online as well. This involves reseach papers. Graduate students to my knowledge can receive this award as well!! Recognizes an UG or GR Pharmacy student for a published or unpublished research paper on a subject relevant to pharmacy practice in health systems.

PHARMACY:(**updated 4/5**) CVS Pharmacy student scholarship of excellence. $5000 awards to assit in education of Pharmacy students. Scholarship may be received for up to four years. Students who receive the scholarship are required to work at CVS for one year as a full-time registered Pharmacist for each year the scholarship is received. P1-P4 students only. Minimum GPA: 2.5. PHARMACY: (**updated 4/5**) NACDS Foundation Please see www.nacdsfoundation.org for additional details. Full-time Pharmacy student in an accredited US College or School of Pharmacy, studying to obtain a doctor of Pharmacy degree. Students must have completed one year of Pharmacy school to apply. Students must have experience in chain community pharmacy as well as the desire to pursue a career in chain community pharmacy. Deadline for 2007 scholarships is: October 19, 2007. A minimum of twenty $2000 scholarships will be awarded. See the website listed above for application details.


SALES AND MARKETING (Updated 3/9**): Scholarships in amounts up to $5000 are being offered by SME of Cleveland to sales and marketing majors. Students must be a Greater Cleveland Area Resident (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit), a full-time student enrolled in marketing or a slaes discipline and attending an Ohio College or University. A 3.0 GPA is required. Applications available online at www.smecleveland.com or at the financial aid office.

POLISH ANCESTRY: (Updated 2/28**)The Polonia Foundation of Ohio is offering scholarships to deserving student of Polish Ancestry who is a resident of the state of Ohio. In recent years, grants were awarded in amounts of $750 to $1500 including one each to students of Law, Medicine and Communications. Applications are available in the Office of Financial Aid now through June 15, 2007. Grants will be awarded on Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Cleveland.
